Makar Rasi covers the following Nakshtras and their Charana or Paada.

1) Uttarashadha Nakshatra - dwiteeya, truteeya and chaturtha charan( Second, Third and the fourth Charana).Its first charana is in Dhanu Rasi.


2) Shrawana Nakshtra - All the four charana are in Makara Rasi( Each Nakshatra has only four Charana.).


3) Dhanishtha Nakshatra - The first and the second Charana only.

Remaing two go in the Kubha Rasi.


So you Will notice that this Makar Rasi has in All Nine Charana belonging to different Nakshtras.

All the twelve Rasis have always Nine Charana each . Only Nakshtras are different.
