did you know married persons caught cheating in Michigan could end up spending the rest of their days in prison?
Michigan's appeals court has ruled recently that cheating during marriage can be prosecuted as first-degree criminal sexual conduct ans so punishable by up to life in jail.
my question is will they actually give someone life for cheating?

Didn't they do this kind of things in Biblical times?
Is Michigan in one of those Bible Belt places?
Are they having a laugh?
What's next? Having your hands cut off for dropping litter?

Sir, your question raises more questions than answers.

Answer: If they have such a pathetic law, then they are likely to give pathetic sentences as they are pathetic people. Simple maths.

PS I do not condone affairs, or condem them, people simply need to take responsibility for themselves and their actions.
But the good folk at Michigan's appeal court need to stop wetting themselves over how powerful they are and get a check-up from the kneck-up.

Freedom

Its a difficult one this is, anyone who has ever been hurt in this manner would be looking to punish them in the worst way possible. But time is a great healer and people can be with other people that they just aren't happy with. I live by the "I'd rather you left me than cheated on me" motto. But giving someone life imprisonment because of it is a reflection of a world gone mad. After all paedophiles will often received a helluva lot less sentencing and these are people who want to have sex with children....the justice system is appalling

Sorry, this Michigander thinks you misinterpreted something. Criminal sexual conduct involves someone under age 18. Where precisely did you get your info? And what county did the 'criminal' live in?

Of course not. Sodomy is still considered illegal in many states and people are still sodomizing all over the place.
The government needs to stay out of peoples bedrooms...
