By famous I can only imagine so one who gets in the news allot. I will Have to Say George W. Bush. I do not think that a day goes by with out W in the headline news somewhere, infact I think that within the last 6 years would one search the headline you would find him there at the top. Since he was ellected not once but twice, he falls into the leader arena. The only other "famous leaders of tooday" that comes to mind are Tony Blair of England, Fidel Castro of Cuda, Hugo Chavez, Jim il sung.

Well George Bush is the presidant of the United States, so he's famous, and a leader (by definition, at least) and he's a leader of the presant. There's also the Dali Lama, Tony Blair, and someone else I'm probably missing. Oil barons?

I think a famous leader of today is Oprah Winfrey. Now before you laugh, I think this because of where she came from, all she has been through, and what she is doing with the money and power she has now. Opening her school for the children in Africa was such an inspiration to me and my girls. We arent even the same race as Oprah but it doesnt matter because we are all of the "human race" and she is doing alot to get the message out there for all humankind to help and love each other.

You forgot Kim Jong Il, Osama Bin Laden, Elizabeth II (she is still the head of the Commonwealth and everybody knows her) and Muammar al-Gaddafi.
And in the recent history: Kofi Annan, Silvio Berlusconi and Jassir Arafat.
btw, Oprah Winfrey is a very bad answer. Nobody gives a damn about her outside of the USA.

Condoleeza Rice, the US secretary of state.
She's practically everywhere, she's involved and informed about state affairs and situations abroad.
She's a lot of "first"s or "second"s, and so far seems to be very diplomatic and fair.
