They can be either. I have both. If you put in Britain as your country then it should automatically become .co.uk I hope this helps xx

From the UK you can have either. First of all, a while ago, you could only have .com but now you can have either - as long as the address you want is available.

If you sign up from the uk site, you have the option. Mine is .co.uk, my friend's is .com, and another friend is @msn.com

When Hotmail first came out it was all .com
but now its grown they now have .co.uk.
so more people can join.
