It is an offshoot of political correctness.
It is the willingness, even eagerness, to sue someone over the slightest remark or faux pas.
It is the media's tendency to take some small incident that could have gone away and stir the stink by overreporting and slanting the coverage to fit their views.
It is that people no longer have a sense of humor about themselves, their characteristics, quirks and human flaws.

I don't think this issue can get reversed....everyone is just so sensitive these days. I am someone who speaks directly and I don't give too much thought into offending anyone which is the way I'd rather be spoken to. People are a bunch of cry babies and everything has to be politically correct. I prefer just sayign the way things are instead of trying to be so obscure with what I say sometimes what I am trying to get across doesn't even happen.

Those people get "offended" for a good reason- money (compensation) and/or the desire to obtain some political gain.
Solution? NEVER settle out of court. Take it to a jury and hope that 12 sensible people will laugh it out of court- hopefully making the "professional sissy" pay the court costs. For both sides.

Yeah, it's sad. The Politically Correct Fascism has taken over almost completely. But it's still a double standard.
Look at the Duke Lacross case. These guys were considered guilty before any evidence came in and now it looks like there's no case at all and they've been dragged thru the mud. One wonders how it would've been handled if they had not been white males.

You can call it like it is. If they are offended, they can get over it. We all deal with that at sometime, offended by anothers opinion, words, etc. To bad for all of us,
Build a bridge and get over it :O)
if you need help let me know, I used to build them for a living.

Sounds like we need a Big Democrat Group Hug in order to make it through the day.
And discuss our "inner feelings".

I know what you mean....everyone is defensive. I think it is because they are all so insecure. Just say what you want the sissies will fall by the wayside.

It's fasionable to get offended. It's also fashionable to be the victim of something and if your not then you don't fit in. It's like a giant p-i-**ing contest.

People do not feel secure within themselves nor their country and we must change this and how to"do that " is a big question but that is the reason.
