It's one of these two things:
1. Bad parents.
2. Good parents.

Poor parenting, Kids with too much entitlement, doctor's who just want to make a buck, obviously the doc's are not turning these patients away.

Personally I believe that a teen should get plastic surgery ONLY for scar correction, deformity correction (ie pinning back protruding ears), gigatomastia (very large breasts) and in case of injury. Anything else really needs to wait until the child is grown at age 21. Having things you don't like about your appearance can be character building. If it a deformity, that is a whole other issue.

That is a really good question. Maybe in some cases it is really needed but in most cases I think it's a beauty thing, most of the cases are female. Sometimes I don't think young adults make rational decisions. But we've all been there done that and I think the brain is not totally developed. If we would wait a few more years we would make a much better decision about plastic surgery and whether or not we should have it done.

because they found out early, that the world is shallow and that good looking people have a certain edge over others.

it may be unnatural, but i also believe that plastic surgery gives people new hope and new confidence. something that money can never buy.

so it's not really that bad as long as you don't forget who you really are.

I don't think you can get plastic surgery unless your 18 or you have something thrething wrong with you. Some kids just have parents who could careless about what they do!

IT'S NOT ALWAYS THE PARENTS THAT ARE TO BLAME, IT'S THESE SUPERFICIAL CELEBRITIES WHO ARE ALWAYS ALL OVER THE MAGAZINES AND TELEVISION SHOWS, PARENTS CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH TO MAKE THEIR CHILDREN FEEL COMFORTABLE IN THEIR OWN SKIN, BUT WHEN THEY START GOING OUT AND SEEING ALL THESE PEOPLE WHO SEEM LIKE NOTHING ELSE MATTERS BUT LOOKING PERFECT, IT PUTS A LOT OF PRESSURE ON THEM CUZ THEY WANT TO FIT IN. THE SAD PART IS, WITHOUT IMPLANTS AND FACE LIFTS AND TONS OF MAKE UP, THESE PUBLIC FIGURES ARE A LOT WORSE-LOOKING THAN MOST OF US ORDINARY PEOPLE.

They are too strongly influenced by the media and are too immature to realize that its whats inside that counts. They don't realize they are fine the way they are when they are bombarded by images of rich and famous people who get butt implants, boob implants, collagen, etc.
