either there friends wear make-up so they want to so they dont feel left out or because the boy that a girl like or he is the popular one or u now who ever he his, he likes the girls that wear make-up so she wears make-up to get noticed or asked out(those r the main 2 reasons!!!!

They have a lip product that will "plump" your lips. They have a product that will "plump" your lashes. There's a lip product that will stay on your lips for hours and hours - keeping it's color and shine. There's a facial cosmetic out there like that as well.
That's what it's all about. Transformation. They want to look like something they aren't. The cosmetic industry is capitalizing on this concept and making a ton of money. I wear make-up to go with what I'm wearing, but I don't wear it on a daily basis, and I NEVER wear something that I have to use a "make-up remover" to take it off...soap and water is all it should take. I had a neighbor once that wore so much mascara, she had to use vaseline to remove it.

Because it's a source for artificial self-esteem. If a teenage girl is unhappy with the way she looks, she can just cover her face in a mask of cosmetics and she feels like she can face the day.

They want to look like the girls on TV and in magazines. They think that's how there "supposed" to look!
