sorry for the rudeness but i'm just answering truthfully.
it's really hard to ignore if I hear the sound of "farting".
can't help to look around and see who did it, or to see if I DID it.

in my case, it is the SQUEAKING sound of the kettle on the stove, when the water boils... it sounds like an old factory siren calling the workers to work... telling the truth! (that is because if I don't hear the sound I may forget the kettle on the gas...)

My husband clicking his nails together...picking them. It drives me nuts! It doesn't matter what else is going on, or how loud other noises can be, my ear will automatically tune in to him doing this and I tell him to stop. He thinks that's crazy that I can hear it. But it is just one of those annoying noises that really get to me.
