Me and my hubby have been trying 5 months last month i had two periods but missed my period this month we have been trying and both of us have been taking vitamins. i hope i am pregnant i have a 3 year old son but long for another baby.i took a test like the 8 its was negative but i was only 3 days late and with my son it took till i was 6 weeks to show up. could i still be pregnant has anyone experienced this 2 periods then been pregnant? if so i would like to talk after you answer you may email me if you have or having this experience.

You could be pregnant even though your first test showed up with a negative result. You need to test in the morning though when you are testing that early and also, make sure that you look at the result window closely . I took a test around 5 months ago and it was negative. I told my husband that I didn't think the test was right because I just felt pregnant since this would be my 10th pregnancy if it was positive. I have had 5 miscarriages and four children. I took the other test that came in the box the next day and it was still negative so, I waited 3 more days and took another test and it appeared negative as well until I decided to look at it really well and I turned it sideways and tipped it on an angle and that is when I noticed a slight pink line and it was slight. I was more confused than ever so I took the other one later on that day and the same thing it was there but hard to see. I went to the Pharmacy the next day and bought the digital test and once I took that and waited til it stopped flashing the result window read pregnant. You may very well be pregnant but to early to detect the HCG level. When I tested I was only 2 weeks pregnant so the hormone level was very low and the cheaper the pg test that you buy the less potent it is to detect the HCG level. If your going to test again you should buy either First Response or one of the digital tests unless your over a month late with your period then, you can use the generic store brand if you want to . I read an article that told me about the detection levels in pregnancy tests with the cheaper ones compared to the more expensive ones. Yes ive had it happen to me i concieved in november, then had period dec and jan then missed one did a test found out i was pregnant. When I went for a scan I was 3 months pregnant!!!

i had periods with both of my pregnancies i didnt know until 7wks in i thought all the symptoms were to do with my period so you can still have them and be pregnant if you dont start and still no positive see your dr about a blood test good luck!!!

its definatly looking good best thing is to go to your doctors and ask for a blood test and explain that the test didnt show up with your son.
