On your computer you don't have any browser. Browsers could be specific to OS, if that is what you mean. There can be numerous different types of browsers. Browsers can be present by default in the OS, like file browser or Internet browser. Apart from this you can install third party browsers, like ftp browser or a code browser.

The browser is the program on the computer that allows you to view web pages. Most likely, you will have Internet Explorer.
There are other browsers though, like Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, Opera, AOL Explorer.. among a few others..

A browser is the program you use to surf *look at* the web...like the program you're using now to view yahoo...that takes the information and formats it on your screen so you can read or watch it :)
some of the major players are Internet Explorer (IE), FireFox (FF), Opera and Safari there are also other varities for cell phone, PDAs and whatnot that format the information to those specific devices

It is software that allows you to move around on the Internet. Computers come equipped with either IE or Netscape browsers. You can also use Firefox and Opera. Just download them.
