I asked a similar question a few days ago, but I wanted to know about it. Some people gave me actual answers, but most just told me either that Wikipedia was great or terrible. What's your view?

Wikipedia is just great.
I use to visit this site to check the updates of new gadgets, my favorite bands, models etc other than their own websites
because
wikipedia is totally neutral and regularly updated.
In this way it is very helpful and gorgeus to me.

Wikipedia, is GREAT. Its the place where I find a lot of my information about people, place, things, or events.

Wikipedia is an on-going work to which in principle anybody can contribute, it differs from a paper-based reference source in some very important ways. In particular, older articles tend to be more comprehensive and balanced, while newer articles may still contain significant misinformation, unencyclopedic content, or vandalism. Users need to be aware of this in order to obtain valid information and avoid misinformation which has been recently added and not yet removed. (See Wikipedia:Researching with Wikipedia for more details). However, unlike a paper reference source, Wikipedia is completely up-to-date, with articles on topical events being created or updated within minutes or hours, rather than months or years for printed encyclopedias.

Wikipedia is about as good a source of accurate information as Britannica, the venerable standard-bearer of facts about the world around us, according to a study published in the journal Nature.

In the end, the journal found just eight serious errors, such as general misunderstandings of vital concepts, in the articles. Of those, four came from each site. They did, however, discover a series of factual errors, omissions or misleading statements. All told, Wikipedia had 162 such problems, while Britannica had 123.

That averages out to 2.92 mistakes per article for Britannica and 3.86 for Wikipedia.

I think it's fabulous. It's an excellent resource for the curious-minded, with an enormous range of information, from Caligula to Sweet Valley High. Plus, for something that anyone can edit, it seems to be highly-accurate and well-written in most cases.

Couldn't live without Wikipedia. It's my go-to resource when I'm bored at work and need something interesting to occupy my time.

I personally use wiki just about every day. Hell my work even uses a version of wiki for business.

It definitly has a great feel to it being a web encyclopedia. Some criticize that because the public can alter the pages that some "facts" could be askew, but I believe they do a great job of sniffing out the untrue from the true.

It is kind informative and the range covers is quite broad... but however i personally think that the topic cover is not very detailed.. but generally it is a good website to look through first for any research to have a rough idea first
