A guy at my place recently got fired for calling the Chinese person in harry potter a chinky not realiseing one of his colleagues was married to a Chinese woman, this was only one of a few incidents that lead to him being fired.

After months of telling my office manager that the copier didn't work too good and getting no response, i knocked it off the countertop. Now it really didn't work !! and either i did i!!!!!!

Actually, I have gotten fired for working too effieciently when I lived in Alabama. I am originally from Boston and then moved to Upstate NY. So yes we work very hard and usually quite fast at what we want to get done.
I guess the companies in the South like their slow way of life. Personally, I'd rather get my sh*t done so that I can have time to get petty stuff like filing and making my fon calls for the day done afterwards.

I was removed as chairman of the student council at college because we managed to turn the council into a profit making opportunity - in addition to raising hundreds for the college.
Never been fired - I watch what I can get caught for now.

I was fired by my boss for doing what he told me to - he said don't serve anyone without a seat as they would be blocking the area used to serve food to people - I refused to serve a very loud american who refused to share a table with other people until they left (they had their bill at that point) and my boss shouted at me from the doorway to get out of his shop - so I did (after he asked me what I was still doing there and I pointed out that he was blocking my way to the cellar where we had to leave our coats )

never been sacked! but i once made a mistake and asked a girl that worked for me if she was alright (because she had obviously been crying-) she completly freaked out and started crying, after ten minuets of listening to her whine about her boyfriend i politly asked if she planned on doing any work that day and had to sack her for throwing her mug of tea (which i had made) in my face and calling me an insentative b***h!!!!

I did specialized customer service for a very well known camera company that is Japanese, based in NY, Long Island. Anyway, my position was to help people who didn't get their rebates, get them and I was very good at it. I had lots of customers send me thank you cards. I actually had one customer send me a card and Christmas presents for me and my son after he got his rebate. Well, I called a customer to help her out and she immediately started yelling and cussing at me. I'm going to sue your company you f....b..... FU!! Etc Etc Etc. After several minutes of trying to calm her down and explain that I am here to help her and the abuse and harassment I lost it. Well, I didn't have a job anymore.

never been fired. i have always left my job for a better one.
i worked for a car dealership once (in the office) and my boss really p!ssed me off so i waited for his birthday and quit on his birthday. haha left him hanging with no Accounts receivable person to take my place.

I was let go from a Taco Bell because I gave a kid a free taco that didn't have any money and then I PAID for the taco out of my pocket. They said, "That's theft and you're fired"
Turned out management was attempting ethnic cleansing and I was a casualty.
