I think if you can handle it and your baby and pregnancy is going OK, then go for it. But while your working the extra hours make sure your fiance is still looking for a job. Even Wal-mart or a drug store is more money coming in. Good luck and congrats on your baby!!

You really should be taking it easy. I wouldn't be working more than 40 hours a week. If someone needs to get a part time job, have your fiance get an evening job at a restaurant or something. That way he can continue to look for a full time job during the day.

I work 40 hrs/ week (full time) and I'm 39 wks pg. I guess you could do some extra work, but you certainly won't be able to do that by the time you are full term. I agree that is better not to worry about bills, but I think your fiance should be worrying way more than you. He needs to find a job soon, even if it's part time. Talk to your obgyn to see what he thinks about it. Good luck hun

At this point, you would probably have lots of energy to work that much, but believe me...once the 3rd trimester hits, you'd be completely exhausted after working 40 hrs!! I would have liked to work 20 hrs during that last trimester, but I made it through. Oh, and I worked 40 hrs a week up through the day before I gave birth.
BTW, why can't HE find a job?? This is NOT the time for him to be picky about what he does!! I'm sure McDonald's or WalMart is hiring!!!

I work about 50 hours a week. That's enough to exhaust me, and I'm only 22 weeks!
Talk to your OB before you work two jobs. Too much stress and not enough rest is not advisable.
How is it that YOU had such an easy time finding part-time work and your man can't seem to? You're PREGNANT. Forty hours a week is more than enough. You need to push his butt out the door. If you doc says that you can work more than 40 hours, that's fine, but you sure shouldn't be the only one working.

I totally agree with HoleeyCow, why is your boyfriend not finding the jobs? My guess would be that he's either not trying at all or is too proud to go and work at the local convenience store or supermarket. I think you should tell this guy that he needs to do his part too, your are taking too much on and I think if you don't suffer physically from this than you will definitely suffer mentally. I can go to monster.com right now and find hundreds of jobs. Tell your boyfriend to get off his butt!! Sorry if this is really harsh, be good to yourself, it's all about you and the baby right now! Take care :)

By the end of your 6th month you are barely going to hAve enough energy to work a 40 hour sedetary job, let alone a part time one. I sugest you make his lazy behind get a job and rest up while you can.
You may also want to check with your doctor b/c they usuall tell you not to over exert yourself.

If its a matter of living then you have to do it. I have trhe kids and i've been working for as much as ten hours a day until the day before birth but now I regret that i didn't have enough time to enjoy the pregnancy and the preparations etc.

I worked full time up until I was 34 weeks pregnant with my first. With my second I already had my first so the work never stopped!
