A wire fence around the garden would be best so you're not shading any part of it. It would also be the easiest to install and the cheapest. However, it's not the most attractive. If your garden is big enough, put a vinyl picket fence around it, one with the biggest space between pickets. If you're trying to keep out only big dogs, you could do a split rail type fence, but if you need to keep smaller dogs out, then you have to go with the wire or picket fence.

Go to any home improvement store and they can help you.

Not only is a screen fence unattractive, but it will be easy for a dog to destroy it. Your best bet is to use all wood which will be sturdy.Buy the material from your local lumber yard or home supply house...Bring a plan with measurements and they will help you select the material needed.

There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/w4Roj
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

Chicken wire is good. It's cheap and easily maneuverable.
