Your tonsils and/or lymph nodes in your neck could be swollen. I've had this happen and not really felt sick at all, but just sore on the outside. I went to the Dr. and he gave me steroids. It did help but it was crazy for awhile. Another time I had that happen I ended up having mono and it didn't just stay at my neck.. landed myself in the hospital for 2 months - though I doubt that's your problem because I felt awful all over that time.

It really does sound like lymp nodes or tonsils. I'd suggest going to see your doctor, it can prolly be cleared up pretty painlessly. Good luck!

~Excellent question... What in the world are you talking about?
Your neck hurts? If so, apply a heating pad to it.~
