i worked in the prison in Missouri, if you have the plumbing of a male, that is the prison you will be put in, just hope and pray the other inmates dont know your part time lifestyle. The only way you would get separated at our center, was if you got into trouble and you were sent to Seg lock up, which many shemales will do to avoid being gang raped. One of the perils of prison life.

Transgender people ("shemales" is highly offensive) generally need to go into "protective custody", which is much akin to solitary confinement. They also lose access to many rehabilitation programs.

where i live, they usually get put into "PC" or protective custody.
you cant very well place a male with boobies in with men because they either get raped or beat up...
and if somebody has boobies and a penis [most of which are functioning]; it's not the best idea to place them in with females....for obvious reasons

good q. i dont know, maybe they have to spend their sentence in yno a cell on their own, never being left out with the rest, or if their post op no bits, then they probably get put in with the ladies

Jails are segregated by only one category - male or female. If it dangles, its male regardless of the inclination.
