Is it a matter of race?
Or class & education that is being contended?

Personally I feel its a class war.
Jade, Danielle, Jo are a sad example of young people in this country who 'expect' to do nothing in return for everything.

All they did yesterday was sit on there arses & smoke fags & chat rubbish.....

Your thoughts please........:o)

I think it is jealousy and ignorance.
Jade is nothing more than a guttersnipe...a common, horrible person who has no place on UK TV.
She knows that her "fame" is limited where as Shilpa will be around for a hell of a lot longer. The fact that she is an Indian only serves as a purpose for Jade.
We all know that Jade has only been shot to fame because she is the butt of many jokes, most cannot believe how dim she is and how uneducated a person can be. Jade gives hope for for those people who are lazy and dim like her...hence why so many fools stand up for her.
She is also an object of pity of disbelief for decent people.

--
Shilpa on the other hand has worked hard at her trade, earned a name in her art...there is nothing to pity or laugh about with her.
She will be here for many years to come.

Those who rally round Jade are doing it because they'd rather be at her side than a victim of her ignorance and bad mouth.

I'd like to see the UK send Jade back to where she belongs, stop buying her Dvds (she never lost weight, she paid for liposuction),
stop going to her salon, stop buying the trashy mags with her in them. Vote her out...just get her out of the media!
Send the witch back to the self-made hell from which her and her sort deserve to be in.

p.s
And no I am not a snob, I am just a decent human being who has morals, one who cares about our society. There are still many of us out here.

I think it is a mixture of both race and class. What makes me laugh is that those three girls are absolutely brainless and Shilpa has a complete command of the English language. Danielle comments about her accent - well, I can understand Shilpa much better than that stupid *****. What is Teddy Sheringham doing with such a cow? Sex, I suppose - but tell him he shouldn;t plan a future with this silly bully - she is doomed. Send her to India to find some humility. As for apologising last night - it was all faked.

Would it be happening if Shilpa wasn't Asian? I doubt it.

It's great to see people like this exposed. Watching them dig a very big hole for themselves with no idea of the tidal wave that's heading their way. Everything people like Jade say is an 'ism' of some kind.

It is racism. Just some of the words are missing at the moment, although it's come quite close at times. In some ways I think it's got everything to do with race. Can't wait to see it play out.

I don't think its a matter of any of these. I think its more jealousy and envy. If I had to pick one I would say education though as I love it when Jermaine keeps telling Shilpa to leave it as 'you can't reason with stupidity' as it is so true.
She will never get her point across to Jade and her little followers as they don't have the mental capacity to understand anything unless it involves swearing and being bitchy. I think it aggravates them that shilpa rises above it most of the time although I did like her comment about Jades fame.

I have only seen the bits of the programme on the news and in the papers but, while I don't particularlly like Jade, she hasn't said anything half as bad as Dannielle, and as far as I have seen Jermaine Jackson is the only one who made the comment about Shilpa's skin colour, which he should be used to as his brother Michael is the only white person in his family. Surely if Shilpa was so upset she would have walked out like the others.

I think it is a case of misconceptions exposed and disproved. This happens in our daily lives irrespective of colour or origin and branding it racist blinds us to the real problem. I'll try express myself as coherently as I possibly can as I'm finding this debate senseless and blown out of propotion. As a member of the minority community, I am aware that racism is a big issue in the UK having suffered a racially agravated attack myself but I also do know that most of the issues are more closely linked to ignorance than racism. The girls involved have carried misconceptions about Indians (perhaps through misinformation)and the fact that Shilpa does not fit into their sad little boxes riles them so they resort to pettiness because they are ashamed to admit their preconceptions were way out of line. I will concentrate on the two comments that stood out most for me and drove me to my conclusion. (1) Jade reckoned Shilpa should "go back to the slum" despite Shilpa being a celebrity in her own country and community as well as perhaps to people who like Bollywood movies and are not necessary Indian. Logic would say that Shilpa's standard of living is higher than what big brother house has to offer but Jade has her head stuck in the documentaries/ stories (that are inconclusive) she has watched or heard about India which has thrown her mental picture a little after the realisation that Shilpa can actually work a cooker and all the other gadgets that people generally assume are non-existant in the third world. This in turn leaves her feeling a bit stupid/ wrong but she still wants to hold on to her belief that she is right and socially above Shilpa and so the pettiness begins and fortunately bares witness to her narrow-mindedness and destroys her as a reward for all the attempts to demoralize Shilpa and squeeze her in a box. (2) Danielle quipped Shilpa should "F-off home" (I am sure Shilpa can not wait to catch her flight home! I can only hope she does not judge the entire UK population on her experience in the big brother house) and "she wants to be white" (how pathetic! Do the people who get artificial suntan or their lips botoxed necessarily want to be Afro?). This again reminds me of the tabloids' propaganda that tends to suggest foreigners are here to sponge off the system and be British etc. Danielle and Jo however seem more driven by a need to be in Jades good books and secure a friendship outside big brother and the benefits implied than an actual need to hurt Shilpa but as the saying goes "you can not have your cake and eat it". Oops! They have misjudged and followed Jade into her bottomless pit and now they have to salvage the little dignity left and squirm their way back. The greatest shame though is what is happening in the outside world. It beats logic that channel 4 insists and persists in burrying their heads in the sand although it is obvious they are basking (name of the game) in the controversy as it has increased ratings while the government has taken it as an issue worthy parliamentary debate while the rest of us (including myself) fan the flames by finding it a topic worth our time and disussion. Has good sense grown wings and flown away to oblivion never to return? I wonder.

your so right. they are just bone-idle selfish little cows and shilpa was absolutley right by saying to Jade 'this is your claim to fame. Enjoy' Jade got famous by making an absolute pratt out of herself on tv, she keeps calling Shilpa a 'princess' but i dont know many princesses who cooks and cleans for 9 people. Mabye they should start looking in the mirror before they go slagging everyone off.

i think that jade, dannielle and jo are the perfect example of school yard bullies mixed with white trash!
They pick on shilpa to show shes not in the so called "cool" group
Shilpa is a highly intelligent beautiful successful woman and thats everything that those three aren't.
