sometimes they are friends with the coaches/selectors.
e.g. England team:
Ashley Giles and their usual wicketkeeper. Giles is useless (can't bat, can't ball, can't field) and the wicketkeeper aint that great. Nixon their other wicketkeeper is a bit slow (old guy) but he's great to have around because he lifts the team spirit (humorous fella). Matthew Hayden of Australia. though he's usually not a good player (he's an opener batsman) he gives the captain good game strategies, is an excellent fielder and knows how to wear the bowler down when batting .

If the player is on a contract, you have no choice but to keep him or fire him thereby risking a law suit

if the player is not on contract - you have the choice of letting him go

if the team is just a regional league where no one gets a contract or paid, then you can ask him/her to leave, but that would just be silly as the point of the league is to get out there, be active and have fun.

(Lol) call it co occurrence or inspite of, I released the fastest ball of the day (i imagine it would want to were that day's fastest coz the graceful launch and the whizzing hum of the ball regarded gratifying to the ears) and it smashed ideal on the unwell destiny lady's face! Her nostril bled and her dentures dangled out! i became horror struck! no longer coz of her nostril or dentures yet coz of the reason that she lay on the floor immobile! I without delay sprinkled water on the lady to revive her (quite to envision no matter if she might want to properly be revived or no longer! :-P) and referred to as some elders! They took her back to her homestead and referred to as a rfile! I were given a firing befitting a terrorist that day! Lol! till eventually on the prompt, she doesn't lurk everywhere close to me after I play cricket! Hahahaha! It became that day I resolved now to not education in the society or on the streets! actually we shouldn't keep such players. but top class players like sehwag who isn't doing well at the moment remain in the team because the team management hopes players like him can perform better in one or another match in spite of them failing consistently

That's called politics involved in sports. Till that remains we will never have real talent on the field ( in any game or sport, you name it!). And till then we will never win a cup or a medal.
