In the Gold Coast to be exact. We don't have a lot of time there, so what places can we not miss?

My family and I (3 kids, 2 adults) went to the Gold Coast last July. We went to Movie World which was fantastic (themed-park) it has a new rollercoaster called the Superman escape made by Intamin. It is just fantasic! I loved it! (I went on it quite a few times...it's a must).

We also enjoyed Wet'n'Wild, Dream World (I went on the Giant Drop...tallest free-falling ride in the World according to the Guiness Book of World records...120m tall..plummets down at terminal speed..it's so much fun! The tigers at Dream World are amazing also. Sea World is good but is a bit older than the other theme parks. I went on their corkscrew but it was over 20 years old..you go there for the animals...the seal show and dolphin shows were amazing. I loved the seal. You can buy a three park pass to Wet'n'Wild, Sea World and Movie World and a separate pass to Dream World. You need at least a day at each one.

I would also recommend a walk around the place. We also stayed in Coolangatta for a few nights..it's less busy than the Gold Coast..is only about a half an hour drive in...from there you can go for a drive to some nice scenic spots. We had morning tea in the hinterland I believe and it was just magic. We hired a car at Brisbane airport. It's worth it. Some of the restaurants at the Gold Coast are nice but I didn't think they were that flash! We stopped over in Melbourne on our way back home (Perth) and the food in Lygon street is the best! The freshly made pasta etc is just beautiful! Brunettis near Lygon street has the best sweets and lunch time homemade pasta dishes. It's an italian caffe turned sweet shop (you can buy custom made cakes etc from them..).

Anyway, enjoy the Gold Coast. I hope I've been of some help!

Gold Coast? Well there are so many thing to do there you really don't need to leave!
Do all the fun parks especially Dream World!
Draculas Caberet Restaurant is so cool (in Surfers)
Brisbane is a great day trip and is only an hour away.
Noosa on the Sunshine is only 2 hours away.
Further up the road is The Whitsundays, Airlie Beach and Port Douglas. Queensland is huge but its cheap to fly about.

Happy Travelling!!!

When you get there, there are a lot local handbook for tourist, take some of these as they will provide you with map, places of interest, restaurants, including coupons for souvenir, dining, etc.you will find many things to do and go to, the only problem is how much time you have.

Just make sure you go swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear waters.

That will be one of your most memorable experiences.
