Hi Trizzle,
I have almost always worked contract, as a power & comms. bod, through agencies. Anywhere from 3 months to 3 years..
It suites me, as I get to meet & work with a huge variety of folks, I can take a month off when it suits me, if things are going well in the year, and I get no dictation as to pensions, holidays, expenses etc.
Resonsibilty for your own decisions & actions. Freedom !
Plus the tax breaks.
OK, I am also an unpaid tax-collector when it comes to VAT, and I hasten to add that is all penny-perfect, should the VAT man be reading this, but the whole idea to me is that I can be in Cairo one year, and Waltham Cross the next.
So I would say, re-phrasing your question, is that it is not su much as I suit agency contract work, it is more that it suits me.
All the best with it,
Bob.

you really should explain what "agency work" it is too broad, there are many different agencies.
