south florida has ridiculous traffic on friday and saturday nights. anywhere you want to go, 5 million people already had that idea an hour before you.
but the energy is amazing, something you can only get from a weekend. lights, people, music playing everywhere.

Where I live, there is nothing to do on the weekends. It's a dry county so there are no nightclubs or dancehalls. Most people just drive up the interstate about 45 miles and stock up on booze and drive around and get DUI's.......lol

I live in a small town. I think they roll the side walks up at night, but no one's up to see and confirm this. LOL
