I have a NEC DVD+-RW ND-6500A dvd+-RW drive and recently I found brands of DVD's such as sony and fujifilm that my drive can't write onto. Can someone tell me where I can find out the way to differentiate the supported and unsupported types or better list all the supported brands.

Thanks.

As per NEC's website this is the supported Media:

Media Supported: DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW (high and ultra speed)

Unfortunately it doesn't specifically mention Media vendors, hence all should work, and if you run across media that doesn't just don't ever buy that media again. It's trial & error.

This has happened to me also, certain media just may not work with a specifi drive.
