Pls. help.. I need to popularize my personal blog site.. I attempt to write funny.. it works sometime.. sometimes it doesnt.. I need some help to promote this site.

Try to put a RSS feed, it´s a live feed wich allows live hits and gets your blog more populated.
try: http://www.feedburner.com/ if you don´t have a feed yet.

One way of popularizing your Blog is that you should visit as many other Blogs and leave your comments there with your URL. You will get return visits. But eventually what you post in your Blog counts a lot. It should be of interest to others. If it is frivolous your Blog will get sidelined easily.

I think it's hard promoting a blog since there are only millions of them out there. You can try by submitting your links to Blogtopsites, Technorati and other sites which lists blog sites. Also, of course promote amongst your friends, tell them to tell other friends to read about it. Go to other people's blogs, those with a tagboard etc and post your links to tell them to check it out. Maybe if you're a member of any forum you can try promoting by posting a thread to tell fellow members to give it a look.

Write in your page some metadata with LOTS of search engine style detail. You need to be able to get hits from people who are searching for your content, so you can buy the access, but so long as you fill out the page with good content, an appropriate level of links, and good links, usually to good sites, and arrange reciprocal arrangements, then thats a good start

An easy way would be to mention, XXX, Sex, hardcore, **** in the sites description.
For example try
1) "The XXX, YYY and ZZZ of humour"
2) "Members of both SEX are welcomed to this site"
3) "Visit this site for the most HARDCORE humour on the planet"
4) "This site is assuredly free from ****(Starting with a P and ending with an N), and is suitable for school going children"
