I asked this question last month and thanks to those who responded. However, I am trying again with a new audience

I am trying to find out more about this man who was a contributor to Practical Wireless and similar magazines in the fifties and sixties last century. He also wrote one children's book, set in and about Rye in Sussex. and another, Thistle Country, which I would like to get a copy of. I'd be grateful for any information, everybody.

Yes, Camp Contact is set in Kent/Sussex and was what probably inspired me to move South as soon as I could. The book is a standard boys' adventure story with smugglers, radios, some elements of pathos, genuine feeling and pehaps a degree of pedaresty though well disguised of course. The author I have been trying to find out about. He was a fairly prolific contributor to Practical Wireless and Practical Television and was obviously a electronics designer. I have tried PW and the Radio Society of Great Britain but have drawn blanks there. Just hoping someone can provide some information.

Hello there!

This really isn't my subject at all, but I like a challenge!

First of, his name appears to be Edwin Newbolt Bradley, according to www.amazon.co.uk, at any rate. But he is listed as Newbold elsewhere, so I am confused!

They list quite a few books by him, all of which seem to be about radio receivers, etc. but I'm afraid none of them seem to be available at the moment.

Ebay have a few books of his which are available; one of which is 'Camp Contact'. They don't specify what it's about - could it be the one about Rye in Sussex? It doesn't sound like a book about radio receivers to me! Go here for all available books on ebay:

I am really sorry but I have come to a dead end now....but I do hope that some of this has helped!

I agree in the only sense that we ought to do away with ailment, or infants being born with actual disabilities. My concern may be the cost of doing this form of ingredient. it may purely be the intense-type inhabitants that should have the skill to discover the money for to genetically layout their infants, a minimum of in the beginning up... leaving the "usual" infants to stand by myself, being seen as gruesome or outcasts. What could replace into of them? And genetically changing a infant's actual characteristics would not unavoidably regulate their way of thinking, which to me calls for the main progression in right now's society. Why look at making a infant more desirable, or blond with blue eyes... whilst they could desire to nonetheless strengthen as much as be a terrible man or woman? What may be the element? And wouldnt this additionally create an over-inhabitants in the international? In starting to be those "applicable people" that are certainly somewhat wholesome and "equipped" in the suitable way attainable... wouldnt that bring about purely too many human beings filled on earth? there is something extrememly unnatural approximately this. the realm of expertise that each and every guy or woman member of the human race possesses could vanish thoroughly.
