yes, especially to be acknowledged as something other than a maid,a mom,and sister.I'd love to be acknowledged for who I am not for what I do for everyone,me as a person

Yes! It is our human nature to receive acknowledgement from our peers... this is not to be confused w/ someone who's narcissistic, though - someone who is always seeking & craving attention.
People, in general, need to feel that who they are and what they're doing is important to someone... that our very existence has meaning - that we have managed to make a difference somewhere, somehow regardless of how big or small the feat!

Oh yes, just for someone to reliaze that I am here, too. I don't crave attention, but sometimes I really need it full out from someone who loves me. Just to know that I am loved, needed, and alive.
