God is as he himself described it in the 3 abrahamic religions a belief. Thus if you believe than he is there. If you do not he's not. The existence and power of god is only as strong as the faith of those that believe in God

I believe that God is real. Just because you can't touch or see God doesn't mean that God doesn't exist. I just can't live my life believing that we're all here because of a big bang or that we're just here for a short while and when we die that's it and it's over. I believe that there's more to life than just what's here on Earth. It's sad but yes some people do use God for there own advantages whether it's for power or money or something else and I believe they are wrong for doing that. I guess in the end, I'd rather die believing in a God that helped me be a better person and live a good life than to die thinking that there is no God and there's nothing left but to disintegrate into nothingness.

nobody knows really, i think its a lovely idea and all that but i can't see how its possible, i seem to do ok tho!! also people can take the whole religion thing way too far... from what i can see, every religion is based on goodness so it must be the people who practice it that mess it up, they reach some level of insanity and all the foundations of their religion are shattered. so, in short, god keeps some people sane and makes others go insane!! i find not thinking about it too much is helpful also, at least that way you're not searching for meaning or asking questions you'll never find the answer to... maybe you would be happier if you could believe there was something else there for you when you leave this world but its not like you're going to feel anything or be upset if no long tunnel appears when you die!!

A very good question.
I always felt God when I was small. I saw images that were believed to be dreams. Those dreams came at a time of trauma (sanity saver?). My mind erased the trauma and replaced with these images.
As a woman my mind become traumered, my heart really and my mind pushed to the edge I think (on the verge of a breakdown) and then I found myself having dreams of more images and connected to those I had as a child (sanity saver again) but in my learning of it all. The images as a child, and the circumstances that took me there were all to make me aware, that God was always there. I really can't explain it all but the love that kept me strong was that from God. I do not believe love is a sanity saver but the path that made me aware was. I do not believe God is the sanity saver but the charts I do was, he was, always was and is the love that has kept me whole when so could have broken into many pieces. Eternally grateful to him too.

Hi Darling, no one really know if God is real, I suppose we all need something to believe in because Death is very much an end to existence and maybe it is nice to think that there is life after. It gives us hope and delete the finality of the inevitable. You have to decide for yourself but in this day and age it is nice to believe in something that you cant see, the idea of God bring people together and give them a feeling to share.
You decide and good luck darling.

If someone was today to prove definitively that god did exist then everyone would start believing in god.
The whole point is that religion is about belief, there is no proof.
Anyone who tries to sell religion as a truth is a zealot or running a cult, keep well away.
Its your choice at the end of the day

I look at it this way. God exists in some form. God is similar to Santa. Santa exists in the form of an idea, thought, dream. In this sense God exists. Your question though asks if God is real? This asks if God has an objective existance, not imaginary. If you look at it in that form I would say I can't give you any proof of an objective existance. The fact that throughout history God has continued to exist in any form gives some weight to something more than merely ostensible. IMHO

Albert Einstein, possibly the greatest scientific mind ever, said “Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe - a spirit vastly superior to that of man”.
That's the kind of God I believe in, not necessarily one taught about in the major religions, but one who created the Universe and everything in it.

Personally I think god is not real, he was invented by man to offer some kind of hope to people. It is a hard world to live in with sorrow and death etc and so it helps some people to think there is a higher force watching over us and helping us and offering eternal life.

God is real if you believe and he's not if you don't.
Personally I dont believe and think all religion is a way of controlling the masses with fear. It works so well because most people need to believe in something greater than themselves and can't come to terms with the fact that when you die that's it, game over.
