What is the secret file that the SystemAdminstrator can see even after prev. user has deleted history + files?

I am the system administrator and I want to know what other people have been using my computer for, but deleted away the internet history, cookies and other files etc. (for Internet explorer)

Is there any way to do that? Or is the info permanently deleted and gone (which I don't think so)...

Assuming you are using Internet Explorer the file is called index.dat.
Search the entire drive because it exists in more than one place. You will need a viewer to read it. Try the link below or google "index.dat"
