Yes, very!

I'm in Huddersfield and sitting in our upstairs office watching the huge lime tree in our garden looking like it's in a frenzy.

The wind is gusting really violently, and then dropping a little and then starting all over again.

Ouch, that was a HUGE gust! It made the windows rattle and I could feel it coming down the chimney.

Like you I'm in on my own and feeling a little scared. I'm comforted by the fact that someone where I work has told me that lime trees are pretty pliable and therefore less likely than others to come down. I hope he's right!

Oh well, better get back to work - I hope that I don't get blown over getting there and that the river I have to cross from our car park hasn't broken its banks yet!

I guess this is global warming, folks...

I'm in Perth, Australia. It's not windy at all. It's the middle of summer over here and we have had beautiful weather. I might go down to the beach tomorrow! Cottesloe beach is the best beach to go swimming in, white sand, clear ocean etc. It's glorious! If you're ever over this side of the world, Cottesloe beach is a must.

Sorry to hear it's unpleasant and windy where you live. Where is that? America?

Cornwall Calling and yes it is gale force here as well. But I am lucky as I am indoors keeping company with all you lovely people.

Who has seen the wind,
Neither you nor I.
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.

AND.

The wind, the wind the naughty wind.
It blows the girl's skirts high.
But God is just, He sends the dust,
Into the wicked boy's eye!!!!!

It's windy where I am - & a few minutes ago, something rattled passed my front door - but it's only the wind & it'll die down by tonight, so don't be scared.

really, REALLY windy here (north yorkshire). i'm pretty worried too - the garden fence keeps bending, i'm just hoping like mad that it doesn't blow down. the wind is also rattling my letterbox, and the noise is driving me crazy, and it's whistling down the chimney. urg..... hate it when it's as windy as this.... nevermind - only 2 more months of winter left !
