can we set up a system for lodging FIRs through e-mail?

Practically,It is feasible only to lodge in Physical instead of going for the electrnic form.

No it should not be attempted. The agrieved party or representatives must be physically present to file the complaint. If filing of FIR is allowed through e-mail there will be enormous fake FIRs and just like bomb hoaxes the real FIR may get lost.

Well i think this kind of system will only work if we have a good planning and a suitable web based software should be there to handle the queries but i think in india it cannot be a feasible task.
