Why is world of worldcraft so good? Is Flyff better?

People are fascinated by getting new things, upgrading existing things, and so on. WoW simply focuses on our want for better things and brings it out in the image of getting new gear, or leveling up. What's one of the real reasons people PvP on the game? For the items you get for pvp'ing. That materialistic need we all have is the weakness that WoW strives to make their strength.

You see the same strategy with today's commercial empire. I think Tyler Durden from Fight Club said it best, "We work jobs we hate, so we can buy sh*t we don't need. We are the all singing, all dancing, crap of the world."

But be as it may, WoW hooks individuals into almost an addiction state within the first hour or two of play. Even those who say they hate the game before fall to it's will.

Personally, I like that the game is not strictly linear. If I want to go to another zone and do a different quest today, the world will not come to a crashing halt. I also like that while I'm playing, I'm not just interacting with my computer but talking to other people (although sometimes this is a bad thing!) I enjoy the story line of WoW and yes, there's the materialistic aspect of the gear as well.

As for Flyff, honestly, I've never heard of it so I can't say anything either positive or negative about it. What little I saw online didn't particularly appeal to me, but that's mostly due to the "anime" feel of the characters (that's just never seemed to feel right to me, but then, I'm odd about things like that).

as an experienced player of WoW.....i still have no idea :P
but to take a guess i would say theres alot of stuff to do and alot of content in the game, and ppl just get addicted to it oO
not much help i know but oh well

p.s the gameplay is amazing :D

it just better because it has better graphics. it cost to much i play runescape.
