Frequently Asked Questions
I don't want to automatically renew my membership...

You can change your payment option at any time.

All you need to do is click on 'My Account' at the top of the screen, enter your password, then scroll down to 'My Membership and payment details' and change the option from 'continuous membership' to 'one-off membership' then click on 'save' to make the instant change.

When you payment type is 'one-off membership' you will never be automatically renewed and can be assured that no further payments will be taken from you card without you initiating them.

Have you tried emailing the site. It might not be obvious where the unsubscribe is or is worded weird.

If they don't respond then do the following.

If its your credit card you can do the same as the bank.
Call the number of the back of your creditcard and tell them that you want dispute that payment. You can even get that last payment back.

Friends Reunited are run by a reputable company. You should have no difficulty in cancelling your account or switching it to a one at a time payment scheme. NB. If you gave them your card details you have to get them to stop the charges, your bank or credit card company won't be able to stop it unless you can show fraud.

Call your bank and let them initiate the stop payment. If the company is not giving you an option to quit their service then they are committing fraud. Your bank can be very helpful with this problem as they do not want to be liable for the funds withdrawal.
