i never go on about them leaving it down!! my point is most women leave the bottom lid down, the top up, so we have to lift up the lid thats had thier sweaty *** on it. both lids down is the way. but most women i know (all) leave top lid up. and still moan about it when both lids are up.

Look before you leep! This is never an issue in a house full of guys. I think most females walk into bathrooms backwards or with their eyes closed. I can't think of anyother reason why they are always falling in.

You want equality, but still expect everything done your way, sorry ladies you can not have it your own way. I also thought you could multi-task, but you can not check the toilet seat before sitting down and falling in, I thought after you have done this once you would always check, as for me, I live in a male house so we leave the toilet how we left it down for number two and up for number one, and no man has ever complained in my house about the ups or down of this situation.

The way I look at it is..... Women need the seat down for a number 1 & a number 2... Men need it down for a number 2, but up for a number 1.. therefore only 1 out of 4 scenarios does the seat need to be up! We win! Ha!!

Are you serious? i like silly questions once in a while. Here's the deal: We don't want to walk into the bathroom and see your dried up drip marks around the rim. Plus in the night (dark), we don't want to sit down and almost fall in because you left the seat up, plus it's cold as heck! You ever heard of "ladies first"? it's just common curtesy to put the lids down. It looks better and more inviting :) if that's what you wanna call it.

I actually agree with you on this. Women need to it down. Men need it up. Why must men leave it ready for women when women don't leave it ready for men? Having said that, you don't have to have babies, or periods, you get paid more for doing the same job as a woman, you are more likely to earn a ton a money as a captain of industry and you can lay on the sofa watching the football and scratching yourself while the woman is doing your washing, so could you not do this one thing for us?? Also, my ar*e is not sweaty, thank you very much.

You do have a fair point! To be honest,I don't complain when my boyfriend leaves the seat up-for some inane reason I think it's cute! Even after 2 1/2 years!!So there's a bit of jokingly reverse arguing about me leaving the seat down. (Shame on me!!!)

If you came to the toilet & saw that the seat was down, it's polite to return it to the way it was when you leave. It's called manners. The rim of the bowl is too wide to sit on, so the seat has to be kept down. If you came to the loo to do "a number two" & saw the seat was UP, you'd still be complaining, so we really don't know what to do to please you guys!!!

Its simple really. IF gentlemen such as ourselves do not put the lid down after we are through then when a woman comes along to use the toilet she falls in.

Ahhh yes, well one of the traits of a good man or 'gentleman' is one who helps a Lady in any way possible. Help them by putting the seat down and you will not only get the title of 'gentleman' but the woman you insinuated that you live with may reward you one day.

a toilet seat is to be SAT ON, therfore is meant to be left down (as a seat).
We shouldnt have to touch a pissy lid just because your too lazy to put it back into its rightful position.
