Federer is a champion on grass courts.
BEST COURT- GRASS
MODERATE COURT- HARD
WEAKEST COURT-CLAY
AND we have seen this. I think NADAL will be a great opponent to Federer.
He seems to be the only guy who will beat Federer in the upcoming years.

I think there are a number of players capable of beating Federer, he's not a machine and has bad days like everyone else. But even on a good day there are players with enough talent to beat him on a grass court. If Rafael Nadal continues to improve at the rate he did last season then he will definately be a threat to Federer's Wimbledon crown. Andy Murray, David Nalbandian, and unfortunately Andy Roddick also have the potential to beat him in my opinion. Plenty of players could beat him on clay and hard court. Although I think introducing the round robin format will make it virtually impossible for anyone other than Federer to win a tournament though, its a big mistake changing to that I think!

murray cannot beat federer. he sucks.

nadal might have a tiny chance of grass or hard courts. on clay they're kind of even, though nadal seems to have a slight advantage.

roddick did beat him at the koyoong exhibition or something. but then again, that was only federer's 3rd match after several weeks of holidaying.

other than nadal and roddick, i don't think anyone else stands even an inkling of a chance. and if anyone else does manage to beat federer, it's probably because of a glitch.

he also hasn't dropped a set at the AO yet while roddick and nadal already have.

i'm hoping and praying that roger federer will win the Grand Slam this year and/or the Golden Slam next year. he certainly is capable of doing that with his arsenal of shots and skills.

I agree Federer is, so far, the best on grass.
However, the way Nadal played Wimbledon last year, I'm not sure he can't beat Federer this or next year.
(I sure hope we'll get Federer and Nadal in the finales of Wimbledon again this year)

Federer certainly is the best palyer in the Australian Open so far, together with, IMHO, Blake.
Nadal is struggling against Kohlschreiber right now, not a good sign.

Foger Federrer is simply put is the best tennis player of all times. He is truly a world champian with truely no error in his game . He has all the shots in the book. However when it comes to playing in clay courts i guess Rafael Nadal was the only one alive to beat him and keep a better record against Federrer. However he has the capability and the capacity to beat even Nadal . so this year a clean chit for Federrer.

Right now the only one that can beat Federer is himself. He only palys good enough to win and with players like Nadal you can't do that. I love Roger and the way that he plays, and I don't get why people hate him winning so much. He is probably one of the best tennis players of all time, and his sportsmanship is second to none.

Since you have gotten so many good answers, I'm going to list all the (current) people who have beaten Roger Federer already:

Rafael Nadal
Andy Roddick
Marat Safin
David Nalbandian
Tomas Birdych

and some more...I wish I didn't chuck away the newspaper that listed the people!

His age can beat him. He is aging now and new breed of tennis stars would be giving him a tough time. Since Borg, Sampras, he is the greatest tennis player ever seen. He is cool. His backhand winners are awsome.

On clay, at present I find Nadal to be the only player who looks like defeating him

No one can beat federer on grass but on clay, Nadal has already beat him.
