As a mere MALE I would like to know why Shilpa Shetta would put (allegedly) something as dangerous as BLEACH on her face, what cosmetic advantage can there be in doing this, is this a practice used by many females. (and NO this is NOT a racist issue)

The bleach which Shilpa used on her face does not have anything to do with her skin colour as those morons in the house incorrectly stated. It is a bleach is used to bleach facial much the same way as many people (including Jade Goody herself) bleach the hair on their head. It is used to make facial hair less noticeable and is completely safe as it was developed especially for this purpose. Many, many women use it on a regular basis - probably some of your ex-girlfriends too:-) It has been around for ages, I'm actually surprised by the number of people who don't know about it. Well done ladies, for keeping the secret this long!!

Yes, it is a common practice. Women use a cosmetic bleach - there are specific products used to bleach unwanted facial hair. Pale women with dark hair use the bleach to camouflage the hair. It's not something I've ever used A) no unwanted facial hair B) Bleaching would only make it stand out. I have friends who've used this from time to time. I don't know anyone who's seen disastrous or dangerous results.

There is no danger Mr, it's facial bleach, ladies with dark hair
tend to have a bit of a moustache sometimes so they use facial
bleach to lighten the hair so it's not obvious. Or you could wax.....

I don't think Shilpa had to neccessary put it all over her face, but she may just be paranoid.

It's likely a cream bleach used to lighten dark facial hair (such as eyebrows or the sort of dark peachfuzz some women have.) When used properly, there shouldn't be any problems. Many women of South Asian and Mediterranean descent have darker hair on their faces than Native American women or Northern European women. They don't have more of it, rather it's just more visible.

Although hydroquinone cream would be safer and smells better...

i believe the bleach was more of a dye for the dark hair. People with dark hair often have more of a problem with visible facial hair than blondes. Its not actually dangerous, its sold in Superdrug, Boots, Asda etc. Don't take it literally Its not ACTUALLY the bleach used to clean toilets!!!

I have heard of many dark/black skinned people doing this. Unfortunately many people view lighter skin as more attractive ( even in countries where dark/black skin is normal). Perhaps this goes back to the days when white skin was thought to be superior in some ways, who knows? Black skin actually stays younger looking for longer as it stays firmer & doesnt dry out as quickly as white skin. I just wish the world would stop judging people on skin colour & think about the person

I think it a FACIAL HAIR BLEACH it just bleaches the colour of the hair , so you dont resort to shaving (women) many females do it, just think if you dont see the hair it s either shaved , waxed lasered off , plucked or bleached to a colour that s matches with the skin tone .Some women are lucky and arnt so hairy or if they are , they arnt bothered by it
heehee

I definitely know I would not use bleach of any form on my skin.I surely would check into the pro and cons of using bleach before trying it. Their surely would have to be a better way to solve their skin problems.

If you have a blemish and redness in your skin then use makeup to cover it up. I don't think there is a big deal to use foundation or concealer to cover flaws that might appear on the face. Just keep it natural and skip and colors that your girlfriend might want to borrow from you.

Usually to reverse any sun damage or uneven skin tone, Yes many women use this practise, it is not usually done with Javex it is usually done in anti-ageing clinics or spas where someone who is educated with a degree will perform different types of application (laser, or oxygen pulse) very effective.
