Only if you have big feet. The slope required for 5 inch heels is massive. And if you're tall, avoid heels! They're for smaller women like me, not the tall ones!
I personally think it would be insane to wear that high of a heel anywhere, but that's just me.

Well guess you would have to ask youself some questions.
1.) what kind of work do you do
2.) Do you think its proper attire to wear 5" heels at work
3) If the answer to question two is yes the go right ahead.
