Dear Funny guy:
I am so happy to read that you want to learn English
Can you teach me Telugu?
Where is that language spoken in what country?

There are some sites on line that have rooms for learning English
It is great to go there and you talk to people like yourself who want to learn the language.

If you have a mic and speakers you can learn using the computer. It would be easy for you doing it this way.
It's good to have something to read too like a book or reading from the Internet.

www.paltalk.com

I have gone to his site and used their chat rooms for learning English I was helping some people from another country.

Write to me italmama6060@yahoo.com
I will be happy to help you if I can

Take care Funny man I'm happy I met you here!

I studied in Marathi and for a long time I was uncomfortable at spoken English, though my grammar was good. I assume you are in the same situation. My advice to yo would be:

1. Read. Read English newspapers. Read English novels that contain a lot of conversation (even detective novels or crime thrillers will do if you find them interesting). Do this and you will get a feel of spoken English without getting bored.

2. Do not reach for a dictionary every time you come across an unfamiliar word. Consulting a dictionary every time will hamper your reading and you will not get any fun out of reading. Most of the time you will understand the meaning of such words from the context. You can look up such words at your leisure to confirm their meanings. You will remember words that occur frequently. You should look them up in the dictionary.

3. Listen to English language programs on TV or radio, preferrably radio on any subject that interests you - sports, science, plays etc. I would prefer radio, because with TV programs, you sometimes tend to become involved with the visuals and ignore the dialogues/comments.

4. Most important, speak English whenever you can, without the fear of being ridiculed. Remember that in India, most people do not speak English corectly, contrary to the popular belief. Maybe you can start with your family members or close friends. Don't worry about the mistakes that you might make - they will become fewer and fewer as you practise.

All the best!

RE:

are u kidding? i mean u write english well.and i myself am from andhra pradesh and i know there education is not bad. i can't imagine that a person will make his email id and also ask a question just knowing telugu.(unless and until u have a friend who knows both telugu and english)

but if u really do not know then do read english books, newspapers and try to speak in english as frequently as u can.do not care about those who tease u.
read the grammar books.
do not forget to keep a pocket dictionary with you so that whenever u read and don't understand a word u can instantly see its meaning.clear your doubts everytime.

good luck!

The question seems to be for helping someone who might not be proficient in English but mother tongue as Telugu.
Those who wants to learn any South Indian language, there is 30 day book series available with most of the Railway platform book stall.Try with that book and start improving on by step by step practise and by mingling with friends and people who talk the language required by you.
