Whenever I am thinking to myself, the voice in my head is masculine, although it is not overtly so. Do Women think things to themselves with a more feminine voice?

I just tried to see who had given a star to this question but I gave myself a star instead by clicking the wrong link. However it was accidental and not conceit.

Adrianne Christens, toothfairy, Hottie, and Guinea i would be interested to know if you have really heard your own voice to be familair with or the voice you think you talk with. Does the voice in your head change when you are familiar with it?

When I asked this question it was as if i dipped into a well from which a lot of other Q's sprung. I decided the only way to answer these was to start a poll. I am going to put it on my Blog. If you want to contribute please go to my Blog and answer if applicable. Here is the link

Omg this question made me think so much.

Yeah it's a female voice. It's like a more.. hollow me. Feminine. But not overly so, either. A bit like I'm in a stuffy, airtight room.

Hmm.

I only hear my own voice when I am thinking but if I am thinking about something my boyfriend told me then I hear his voice saying it in my head. Nice question by the way. I haven't thought of a question like that in a while :)

I hear my own voice, which is technically a female voice (since I am female). My voice doesn't sound feminine to me, though, because it comes from inside my skull, which has the effect of making it louder and deeper than it sounds to other people. When I think to myself, the "voice" in my mind has that same loud, deep, unfeminine sound.

The thoughts in my head don't produce sound, so I don't associate them with a voice. I think that might be what others are talking about when they say they hear their thoughts in their own voice.

It depends, sometimes I hear what sounds more like a masculine voice but other times I hear a female voice when I'm offended by someone and it says something like "oh no they didn't".

HI
Absolutely yes and it is my voice. I have a very feminine voice and when it something that I have been considering and know my dad wouldn't like it I hear his voice

There is no "voice." It is only the thought process taking place. Try singing a song in your mind, as Beverly Sills or Bruce Springsteen would. It will be only your throught processes singing.

This is a cool question. Yes, the voices in my head are female. Why am I giggling?
