Contact Family Services. Talk to them. They will send a Social Worker to speak with the minors in the home. If the minors refuse to behave, Family Services will sponsor any court action intended to teach the minors how to behave.

As for the oldest son, since he is 18 already, the mother can get a RESTRICTION ORDER to keep him out of the home. If he gets near the house or if he calls, he will be put in prison.

It is sad that such situation has gone so far.

It would be really sad for your son and his friend to go down this road. They need to become more engaged in different activities. There are so many good ones out there. You may need to go ask a psychological professional to help you out devising a new routine for your son. Until then I would tell him that he has a weekly appointment with a plastic cup at the local drug-testing lab. He can always use that as an excuse to beg off when he feels peer pressure. He needs to burn off some of his energy. Boys are full of testosterone at this age! these types of drugs are so damaging to the brain and other tissues in the body too. Former drug addicts who live healthy lives now can also be good resources. Some religious people as well. Young people often do not realize how many innocent children get victimized by people who traffic drugs. They are really dirty and dangerous people. They may appear cool at first in order to make the sale and keep the customers, but once you're around them you learn that they have hidden lives that are so depraved and completely opposite of their smooth confident exterior. Getting your kid hooked on drugs is just a way for some hurtful person to earn a living and have financial security.

Well if they are stealing from her then she needs to call the police and get the kids set up in one of those residence schools for juveniles. They do exist and if the crimes are repetitive then they can spend the rest of the school life there. However the 18 year old is an adult and that one can be thrown a restraining order. Just pack that one's stuff and if he gets near the house he can be thrown in jail for breaking the restraining order. Some people love to be doormats your friend sounds like one.. no father to stop the mess I suppose? MS I heard can be caused by stressful situations.. of course the alternative is she sells the house and moves to some assistant living place where kids are not allowed to live.. there are alternatives but it sounds like she needs to make some quick decisions.

The eighteen year old is old enough to be out on his own, legally she can just throw him out. The other son 16year old she can file charges in juvenile court. However, these young men did not just get this way. They have been building up to these behaviors for quite sometime. And really she needs to take responsibility for "her children" and put her foot down. I speak from experience. I am a single mom of four sons. I have been very blessed not one of them would dream of being disrespectful to me or allow anyone else. Perhaps she could consider some family counseling and get to the root of such disrespectful behaviors. Good luck to your friend. God bless****

She would be eligible for some county or state services because of her MS. Social workers can help her with these two idiots, especially if there is fear of physical harm from them.

Since they are underage, she needs to go through the court system and have them declared unmanageable.
