to bigotry in scottish football or are the hate mongerers on both sides going to keep it alive and kicking...literally after an old firm game

I think too much is made of sectarianism. OK, I know there are a few violent nutters on both sides, but almost all old firm fans are quite happy to sing sectarian songs at the game then go home and have a laugh with friends and workmates who support the other side.

I quite enjoy taunting my Hun pals - and they enjoy taunting me (on the rare occasions they're able to!).

We don't take it seriously - and only a very very small minority does.

I come from Northern Ireland, and fear that the situation in Scotland is at times very like the problems which gave rise to over 30 years of "The Troubles" (so called) here. Religious intolerance here was often used as a smokescreen for anti-British or republican feelings. Perhaps it's the same in Scotland in a very SNP atmosphere.
