am not saying that racism isnt happening, i don't watch tripe..what i mean is, is that a trashy programme like BB can be a feature in international politics, my god, Britian is a mess, people are by nature apathetic to homlessness, poverty, abuse, and all of a sudden there is a public outcry over a show where people are willing participants and are free to leave at any minute, people dont chose povery, homlessness or abuse, people should redirect their anger there.

The poor man had to say something. What a time for him to visit India! However he should not have been so quick to judge it as racism when it is nothing of the sort. It just class thing and jealousy. Brown should have said that he hadn't seen the show so he can't comment. He can't apologise on behalf of the country on something he knows nothing about.

Channel four hasn't and he felt obliged to after Big Brother went international.
The morning papers in India should have read.. 'Gordon Brown, future British PM comes to India for trade negotiations'.... it's a big event ... instead there is just an uproar about BB, Britain and it's racist people. What other choice did he have?
I guess he was put in the spot, but I'm sure if he wasn't on a visit to India, where the mass media has portrayed Britains as racists, he nor the government would have said anything... a case of wrong place at the wrong time!

No, channel 4 should apologise. Apologise for airing this utterly moronic crap on our TV sets. I'd rather watch paint dry than numb my brain by watching this mindless programme!
The people who go into the house are instantly qualified TV presenters and celebrities when they leave, when all they are, are a bunch of fame hungry idiots.
I realise the "celebrity" (in the broadest sense of the word... I mean, Jade goody and co???) BB shows are for charity, but surely there's a less boring and moronic way of making money for charity. I'd rather pierce my eyes with hot pokers than ever enter that house!

Because it reflects on the image of the country overseas and he's preparing to become prime minister in the next few months. The politicians have to been seen to be doing something its what we elected them for, and politics is all projected opinions making policy and law when alls said and done.

No of course, he shouldn't. It's only a cheap, trashy TV programme and the media hype has got completely out of control.

But why do we as a citizen of XYZ country be subject to such racial behaviour. It is sad that people around the world do not realize that we all are complementary. We need each other to fulfil our needs and this superior breed behaviour is not tolerable.

By apologising, he is making a very clear statement that something very wrong has happened. There is no going back now for the Government.

He doesn't care, he is Scottish, therefore he can drop the English in it, because he hates the English, and the Indians wouldn't know the difference anyway.
I hope they scalp him
