i learned the philippine history using english language and at that time when i was still studying, i didnt feel any relevance why it has to be taught in english considering that the subject itself is about our very own country...however, looking now as it is, i find it ok because whenever im exposed to foreigners, be it in person or just here on net, i have the ability to express everything in english confidently if given a chance to promote our country, i mean there is already an edge on promoting tourism via history and culture rather than knowing it in tagalog then translating it....the stored knowledge will just flow naturally....
im not saying that tagalog is not good, it has its own advantages also....

It is effective of course. The effects will not be seen so soon. After sometime, you can evaluate.
