Has anyone experienced any problems with PayPal such as difficulties withdrawing payments across into linked bank accounts, gateway payments or any problems at all with delays or losses associated with using it? I would appreciate reports of any faults encountered.

Being a fulltime seller, I'd advise against using Paypal and get another method of receiving online payments instead. They do not require you to use Delivery Confirmations nor the seller to buy insurance. If a seller notices you did not use a Delivery Confirmation, they can file a fraud claim even if they got their item and get reimbursed even if the seller can prove they mailed the item by a post office receipt. They did this to me and probably many others.

Don't do paypal. Visit www.paypalsucks.com I hadn't seen this sight until after paypal withdrew $2500 for my account without permission. After talking to other people about it I found out my cousin lost over $1200 from them. There is a section of their very fine print buried in their website that says you authorize them to withdraw and neccessary fund they might need. It doesn;t state what the funds will be used for just that they "need" them. My mom immediately tried to close her account and there is a 1 year waiting period and until then they can still withdraw money from any of your accounts. My mom got a new bank account. Most people don't seem to feel paypal is untrustworthy. I have noticed that most people who have problems with them are sellers who make the money rather than buyers who just spend it. Be careful and do your homework. There are more great sites out there with info. I used them for 3 years before they pulled the stunt they did. I never got my money back even though it was completely unauthorized. My bank said due to the terms of their user agreement I authorized them to take my money at anytime without direct authorization. If you use them I would only put a credit card and not your bank account info on. You might have a better chance fighting them with the credit card company and also you could pay the money back over time rather than instantly being without it like me. Good luck!!!!

I have a friend who had his account frozen for no valid reason, plus check out these links:

http://www.paypalwarning.com/

I was naive until I looked at these sites and my friend told me of his problem shortly thereafter. I would be careful with them, I wouldn't trust them and I wouldn't keep much money in there at all.
