It has a tiny crack in it, from the rim to about half way down. I would like to know if there's any way I can safely repair this so the cup can still be used for drinking coffee and tea...

Slow-setting epoxy is the best way to make a repair, but the problem is how to get the epoxy into the crack. If you have access to a vacuum pump and a bell jar, what you can do is put a bead of epoxy on both sides of the crack, inside and outside, then put it in the bell jar and pull a vacuum. Now release the vacuum while the epoxy is still workable, and the epoxy will be sucked into the crack. Clean up any excess epoxy with acetone and put a rubber band around the cup to hold the crack closed while the epoxy is setting.

Most people don't have access to a vacuum pump and a bell jar. In that case, all I can suggest is to carefully open the crack slightly to work the epoxy into the crack, without breaking the cup. Again you should use a slow setting epoxy to give you time to work. My experience doing this has been less than ideal.
