1. Explain the following observation:

When a small amount of ethanol at room temperature is placed on the skin, a cold sensation is felt.

2. Oxygen forms the ion O2- and sodium forms the ion Na+.

well i dunno the 1st one but the diff between the two ions is:
O gains 2 electrons but Na looses 1electron

similarity is:
both atoms gain or loose electron to acquire noble gas configration.
