Rijksmuseum - you have to see the Night Watch by Rembrandt.
Van Gogh Museum - incredible collection
Anne Frank House - very impressive.

Visit a Diamond Factory

Volendam a beautiful fisherman´s town
Marken where people still wears traditional clothes.
Alkmaar with its cheese market.
Den Haag (The Hague)
Binnenhof (inner court) and Buitenhof (outer court), a group of government buildings located in the city centre.
Mauritshuis, a truly majestic museum located in a 17th century masion.
The International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration of the United Nations in the Palace of Peace.
Madurodam, an extremely popular miniature town.
See the Palace where Queen Beatrix works and the mansion that serves as the residence of Crown Prince Willem Alexander.
Go to the nearby coastal resort of Scheveningen and the Casino.
If you still have time, go to:
Zaandam where you can visit windmills.
Leiden - American Pilgrim Museum and where Rembrandt was born in 1606.
Visit the Delta Works in the Eastern Scheldt.
Go to Vaals to see the Drielandenpunt (3 countries-point) where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany border on.
The Efteling fairy-tale park in the south of the country.
Rotterdam, the largest sea-port in the world with its modern buildings and museums.
Maastricht, Limburg - was the first Dutch city to be liberated by allied forces during World War II. In 1976, Maastricht became part of the Euregio Maas-Rhine. In 1992, the Maastricht treaty was signed here, leading to the creation of the Euro.
Delft - to buy the beautiful Royal Delft Porcelain
Arnhem - where you can find the bridge made famous in the "Bridge too Far" film.
Visit the Krüller Möhler Museum.
If you go in late March through mid-May you must go to the Keukenhof, where every spring, these famous Gardens near Lisse, come to life with songbirds and 7000000 flowers.
and I think I better stop. There is so much to see in the Netherlands. The main thing, have fun and enjoy the friendliness of the Dutch people.

As always it depends on your taste. Beautiful cities are: Amsterdam, Delft, Haarlem, Maastricht. Below is the official Dutch tourist board site Holland.com, which lists all the good places, (but never says something is not worthwile. I would say Eindhoven is not a city to see, neither is Rotterdam.)
Amsterdam is by far the most popular and with reason. The canals (take a boat trip, sounds awful, but really fun), the museums (if you like art), just strolling through the center. In may it can be good weather, then the Vondelpark is really nice.
Other places: Volendam, the Windmills at Kinderdijk, the Houses of Parliament in The Hague.

i sure hope you will travel in spring /summer time that's when everything is at it's best here.
Volendam is a great place to visit a fishermans town
zaandam, lots of windmills there
amsterdam ofcourse just to say you have been there and servived it hahahaha
Alkmaar for the cheeze market (summer time)
Limburg, we actually have caves and they are really beautifull
Keukenhof, this is the famous park with the flowers blooming in spring time
DenHaag for the nice buildings, old ones at that, our parlement is there
Rotterdam for the modern buildings, art, museums, biggest harbor in europe
Scheveningen beach in summer, very nice beach with shops and nice restaurants
