Yes its 100% fine my friend came from the US and it was fine.

Unless your recharging device is on 220/240v, you will need an adapter (and be aware that most hotels in RSA have 3-pin round outlets).

Best solution is to purchase a small charger in the airport where you first arrive (which will probably be Johannesburg). Shops offer duty free prices for arriving visitors.

If you go to a hardware shop or biulders warehouse there are different batterry chargers. Take one of your batterries along to make sure you have the right charger
