An co-valent bond is like 2 friends sharing the last cookie in the cookie jar. An ionic bond is like when one of those friends has an advantage of an extra cookie that the other friend can't leave his side because he wants a bite.
An covalent bond is like a mutual agreement(easily breakable) whereas an ionic bond is like love at first sight(so attracted to each other that only peer pressure can break the bond).

An ionic bond is like holding hands, a covalent bond is like getting it on. But seriously ionic is more like two magnets staying close because they dont actually touch.
