If I'm on the same page as you are, In my mind the answer would be a combination of both knowledge or education, and self confidence. Being the kind of person who isn't afraid to make mistakes.

Most people would say $$money$$. But , I will stick to my guns, and say Intellect, and good common sense, can be more powerful than just having money. I'd throw in a bit of street smarts in too. Getting the proper education will carry you through life more so than just having money. There are many people who have substantial money given to them, and loose it fast. Proof: Lotto Winners, alcoholics, drug addicts and more.Wisdom will out last money, hence...more powerful.
By the way, this will gain more respect, nothing like seeing all the Nova Riche'(new money, not born with it), like in Hollywood, some have so much money, but can't even pick out a nice dress, or suit to wear.That's dumb, who can respect idiots like that.
