It is certainly possible, in theory, to write a cross-platform (Windows/Symbian) virus. However, I am not aware of the existence of such a virus yet. There are cross-platform viruses for Windows/Windows Mobile and Windows/PalmOS (although most of them are "cross-platform" only in the sense that the Windows virus drops some different PalmOS or Windows Mobile malware) - but, to the best of my knowledge, not for Symbian.

Still, there are plenty of viruses and Trojan horses for Symbian alone, so installing anti-virus software on your mobile phone is a good idea. See the best answer pointed by the link below for a long list of such anti-virus programs.
