Because we depend on the Real Men out there to take the decisions. (That's what you wanted to hear, right?)

Not being a woman, my answer is based on observation rather than experience -
but it seems to me that many women base their decision on different criteria than many men do. They decide differently. They respond to different elements of the equation and consider different (and often more) factors.
In the example you give, for instance, women have less experience growing up with physical activities that involve taking chances. Men tend to be more experienced with risk taking - how close can you come before hitting or being hit. They don't have the experience so when they start into the intersection, they think they can make it, the oncoming traffic scares them and they try to reverse course, where a man would push through.
I'm not sure I'd agree with uncertain, but (certainly) different.

I think it is basic insecurity on their part which might be genetic men are by nature more logical. I will give you an illustration on how I make a decision, I look at the pros and cons if the pros outweigh the cons I go ahead and don't regret my decision even if it was wrong.
My wife on the under hand waffle continually always second guessing if she made the right decisions sometimes not making any decision at all I think it is genetic.

I have decided that you are wrong. And I will stay in my decision. Men don't know what a woman is thinking therefore can't make any judgment on what makes her make the decisions she makes. I am not uncertain of my decisions. If I decide something I follow through unless someone shows me that something else is better. I decide if it's better or not. If I think it's better than I will change my mind. If it's not better I stay with what I have decided on in the first place.

Women hold themselves responsible for a great many things, and want to make the right decision in as many instances as thay can, so their world will evolve to the best of their ability. What looks like indecision is really the woman taking her time, which can sometimes get her in trouble, forcing her to make choices very quickly with little thought.

Women who rely on a man to make the decisions are cheating themselves out of career choices, and women have to know that they can make it through life very well single. Some women have been brought up as dependent on men because of having a strong father figure. In to-days society, we know that women should be brought up knowing there is an alternative to having a family, and many parents now bring up their girls to be more independant, letting them explore their avenues of life. To not do so is robbing society of a valuable resource, The woman's intellect!

You know I had a "man" do the same thing to me this morning in traffic and right then and there I decided that he was an a$$hole. This is yours and other demented men's observations, but believe you me, we "women" have decided that it is so much easier to deceive you than to perceive you.

Considering a decision carefully is a sign of intelligence. This is why women are less prone to die of traffic injuries and all other accidents.
